Black Ops 2 Reportedly Outed By Amazon, LinkedIn

by Jake ValentineFebruary 17, 2012

As we progress through 2012 and closer and closer towards the eventual release of a new Call of Duty title, we knew that we’d eventually learn more through a leak. Today, we saw two leaks.

First, French gaming site Gameblog.fr has reported that Amazon leaked details of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (see attached screenshot). Next, we have Joystiq reporting that the LinkedIn profile for Nerve Software employee Hugo Beyer, who listed Call of Duty: Blacks Ops 2 as a job he recently worked on.

I’m sure we’ll hear official word in the near future but for now, this is all but a foregone conclusion.

This game is garbage, its always been, the devs suck.

  • Jokerzwild

Meh, Knew they wouldn’t kill the money tree but give it a break. They pump out theses games with minor changes then milk people for a year with map packs only to do it over again. I can just see all these COD people like cabagepatch kids with Activision watering them and harvesting their $120 each year.

  • Jokerzwild

Didn’t mean to sound like I was calling out COD players, I wasn’t I know they feel like they get their moneys worth.

What’s the point? Is it to arouse curiosity for the eventual wide release? To show the relaxation of the theater chain proprietors that the motion picture has a lot of earning potential? Thanks.

Now that the 2003 test results list is obviously in the wrong hands, its eventual complete release is probably inevitable.

Which three names do you most want NOT to be on the list as having tested positive? Three names you most hope stay atop their respective pedestals?

One condition: they must have been on a major league roster in 2003. If you name, say, 2007 NL ROY Ryan Braun, you’re being silly, so don’t do that.
After 22 meaningful votes (65 names — one response named only two players), the tallies:

    Griffey — 15
    Pujols — 9
    Jeter — 6
    M.Ramirez — 5
    Rivera, Ortiz — 3 each
Delgado, Johnson, Martinez, Piazza — 2 each
Beckett, Beltran, Biggio, M.Cabrera, Dunn, Halladay, Kent, Maddux, Mussina, Nen, Posada, Rueter, Snow, Thomas, Varitek, Wright — 1 each

Interesting results, both for the obvious choices and the subtle ones. Thanks, worthy fans.

So lately I’ve been feeling creative and making some multitrack recordings with guitar, bass, glockenspiel and melodica.

This is all leading up to the eventual independent release of a solo album, for which I’ll be re-recording and remastering a lot of songs. And that’s why I need as much feedback from as many pairs of ears as I can get. Please let me know what you think!

I think the Black Ops story is great and I understand the whole campaign. I want to see if he dies or really doesn’t die but hiding. Many rumours in this game too. You think Activision should make a DLC how he escapes or tried to escape and died bravely?
    Sorry…Treyarch made the game

  • Jonathan

I am talking about how they get the dlc early. I heard that it will end at the beginning of 2012 but idk for sure.

I, along with thousands of other people had a problem with a double strumming guitar. Activision emailed me a FedEx mailing label to send it back with, so I didn’t have to pay for postage, but not having it now really sucks becuase it was a Christmas present for my kids. Has anyone else had to send off their guitar or drums, and how long did it take to get it back?
    Thanks

  • Patrick

Do I have to write them or will they send out without that or what?

  • whitesoxfan2347

Activision said if Sony will not drop their PS3 price they will not be making games for it, Like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

I have PS3 and i will be disappointed if they will not be making Call of Duty games for PS3.

I have a WII and was just wondering because Best Buy has the Activision – Band Hero super package for 149.99 (sale from 199.99) and RockBand is 199.99. This will be played on my 42″ tv. Please help…
Does band heros play with RockBand at all?

  • Motordom

My world of war xbox game has a crack on the center which has caused it to be unable to play so i am wondering if activision has a disc replacement program like microsoft does

  • Wooooody

All people do is beat the campaign in 30 seconds, and then rush to go online. Same with Halo.

  • jdfan

Has it been leaked yet as to what the “insubordination” and “breach of contract” entailed?

  • kerrin marz

I know next to nothing about stock and buying and selling it but i couldn’t help but think last year call of duty black ops netted Activision some 1 billion dollars would this have made their stock jump substantially? i realize it cant be this easy can anyone help?

  • Michael

It is so obvious now they are just using it as a cash cow rather than being innovative. This is ridiculous.

  • Oilers

I saw it in the first paragraph

I hope not Activision is the worst publisher ever they are so greedy!

  • Terrence

Be forced to offer refunds on the grounds that this game is not fit for purpose?

  • nyyankees1123

Modern Warfare 2 is expected to have 500 million dollars in sale in the first week.

  • ibjammin44

because i hear that games like cod6 and guitarhero 5 that are huge are going to make a huge profit probably. There previous games are famous so im guessing that it might be a good choice b4 those 3months arrive. I’m 15 by the way. so is it a good idea to invest my money in activision or not, please tell me why or why not.

  • veemodz

Also, if so, are they going to cost Microsoft points?

  • Death Knight

    Hello all,

me and my friend, are making a practical project about game Development. We have a question about Black ops. So i hope that one of you can help us out.

    Thanks,

  • sethburger

They have been talking about it, and Activision said it would like to/ and probably will, start charging people to play online with call of duty. I honestly think i would try to boycott the game if that happened. What would you do?

  • PolishPokeyPimp

What is the relationship between Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Activision? I was just curious because I know that all 3 are related to the COD series and I was wondering who has the final say in what goes into the COD games?
I thought that Activision was involved in every COD game. It appears that Infinity Ward and Treyarch switch every time, but Activision is in the loading screen every time. So what is the relationship between the 3 companies?
