TGS 2012 | Far Cry 3 – Survival Island Guide: The Food Chain

by Baron W.September 21, 2012

Today, Ubisoft has decided to treat gamers worldwide at this year’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS) with a sneak peek of the food chain in Far Cry 3. In the trailer located below, players will get the chance to meet the Privateers and lean what it will take to bring down this massive army of mercenaries.

Far Cry 3 is shaping up to be the best game in the Far Cry series, and from what has been shown so far from trailers, screenshots, developer interviews, and some behind the scenes leaked footage, will set the bar for the next games that will follow in its footsteps.

I’ve been looking at Far Cry 3 with it’s press release and looks epic! Im wondering weather to buy Far Cry 2 or not as its quite old and is it worth it now? Or should I just wait for 3 as i will buy it anyway if i get 2?

Any reviews on Far Cry 2 would be helpful and if the multiplayer isn’t empty on the PS3?

I’ve been looking at these two games for a while now, and I’m uncertain which one to purchase. I could get Far Cry 2 for $25 or fallout 3 for $35. Both games are for my Xbox 360 which one is better the better value and the overall better game?

So I played Fallout 3 recently and although I loved the huge explorable world and RPG elements, I didn’t find the action and combat in the game as satisfying as I would have hoped. I heard about Far Cry 2 and it seems like a great game. If you’ve played it, could you tell me what you thought about the action/combat in the game?

Far Cry is may favorite game series for these specific reasons:

Takes place in a modern setting with a huge focus on exploration of natural environments
First-person shooter with a variety of guns to choose from
    Exciting adventure game

I’m looking for any other game that fits these three criteria. If you know of any, please let me know. And please do NOT recommend Crysis, I’ve already played Crysis 1 and 2. Thanks.

I play these games pretty fast. So i was wondering since Far Cry 2 just came out do you think i would get a lot of money for trading it in to a store like Gamestop? Or at least get to trade it in for another good game?

I cannot go anywhere on Far Cry 2 without people shooting at me. I drive into a town and all of a sudden everyone is trying to kill me. I can go to mike’s bar and that little place on the map in the middle, but that’s it. Is it suppose to be like this?

How many people are active and playing Far Cry 2 online for the PC? Are people actively producing new user-created maps with the editor? Is it easy to find games with a sufficient number of people in them? How many servers (approximately) are there?

Is the game worth buying with an active online community? Without?

Why does Far Cry 2 look so good on videos and pictures?
It doesn’t look as good as it does on the internet or tv and I have it on pc which should look the best. I thought it would look better than Crysis but it doesn’t.
And yes, I have a computer capable of running it on Ultra High, which is the Highest setting and with no lag whatsoever.

Im getting far cry 2 tommorow and I was wondering how I should start about going around the game. Some people say it’s really boring for the first 2 hours. Xbox 360 by the way
