Microsoft’s Surface Book Laptop Finally Announced

The newest tech gadget from Microsoft, the Surface Book Laptop, has finally been announced.

The Surface Book Laptop will be the first laptop ever created by Microsoft and it could very well be the Macbook‘s newest and strongest rival. The Surface Book laptop will have a 13.5 inch display with a pixel density of 267PPI which will be optically bound to the glass meaning the display will look very nice.

Leaving the display aside, and looking at the more powerful aspects of this laptop, it will come equipped with a high end Intel processor with up to 16 GB of RAM (current maximum on the market) with 1 TB of storage space as well meaning it can be quite a powerful machine whilst on the go.

A huge perk the Surface Book laptop will have though, will be the keyboard. It is not only backlit (which looks really cool) but also has keys with 1.6mm depth which essentially means, according to Microsoft, that the keyboard will be completely silent. According to them, this is the “perfect” experience. As for the trackpad, it will be a glass trackpad with five points of touch sensitivity.

The Surface Book laptop can also function as a makeshit tablet if one chooses to do so as it will work with Microsoft’s Surface Pen. However, unlike the other Surface laptops,  this one is more oriented towards being a good laptop rather than an extremely powerful tablet.

Obviously, the latop will run the latests Windows software (Windows 10) and will include some of the basics such as 2 USB 3.0 ports, an SD card slot, and also a pretty powerful Nvidia GeForce GPU with GDDR5 memory.

Essentially, this laptop covers the basics while also adding a lot of powerful components. The amazing RAM and decent storage space makes it a viable option for anyone working with video editting software and the tablet-style design together with the silent keyboard makes for the perfect portability desired in any laptop.

The Surface Book Laptop will go on sale on October 26th with a $1,499 base price. Preorders are available starting today, October 7th.
