Tis' The Re-Make Season

A remake of a past great title is something people look forward to, this year alone we’ve seen many of those. Ranging from Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, and many more. Frankly, there has been quite a few games that I have been waiting to see , but still no word on them yet. Its only 5 games, how hard could it be to remake these titles?

Jet Set Radio Future

Anyone remember this launch title for the original Xbox? One of the reasons I decided to pick up an Xbox in the first place. The things in this game were over the top in my eyes, from the unique art style, to the jazzy tunes that played while you rollerbladed around the city. This game would be great as remake, being that now gaming is more online oriented. I would love to roam around ,or race one of my friends online. With just some improved visuals and updated multiplayer, I’m certain that developers could bring life back into the Jet Set Radio series. If not a remake, could we at least see this appear in the Xbox Live Marketplace! Here’s the chance for an exclusive!

Bully

Jimmy Hopkins, the bad boy! Bully, one of the greatest titles for the PlayStation 2. There was nothing negative you could say about this game. I mean everything was so well put together, how couldn’t you enjoy what was given. Imagine Bully 2 for the PlayStation 3, one of a kind graphics, causing total mayhem towards school property ,and the online play. Since Bully was a single player title I figured I would just throw out a few ideas for the multiplayer. You could have online dodgeball, some kind of co-op mode, free roam, and a variety of deathmatch games(with slingshots ,or other delinqeunt gadgets.) If Rockstar went through with this, Bully could be the next big thing for Next-Gen consoles.

Killer Instinct

Co-coo-coooo-Combo Breaker! One of the best fighting games ever ,but where did it go? Killer Instinct definitely deserved a reboot instead of Mortal Kombat ,but I guess thats the way the cookie crumbles. The fast paced, action packed fighter dominated the fighting genre in the mid 90’s. The unique characters, gave this game its thrill. One minute your fighting a skeleton, the next minute your knocking a werewolf off a 10 story building. Sounds fun, huh? Killer Instinct takes the positives from the Street Fighter an Mortal Kombat series and blends them into its own. Last time I checked, this game was in popular demand so where is the reboot? Maybe its because Microsoft owns the rights to Rare(Killer Instinct Developers) and they’re not doing anything with it. Hey Microsoft, here’s another chance for an exclusive!

Crash Bandicoot

The wumpa fruit collecting bandicoot. I used to love the Crash Bandicoot series, until it got away from what made it great. Crash Bandicoot, at one point was the mascot for PlayStation ,and I would like to see something like this again. Perhaps a annversiary bundle with remakes of Crash 1,2, and 3 from the original creator, Naughty Dog. This would be a single player experience worth waiting for.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

One of the best from the Grand Theft Auto series, Sand Andreas. If a moderate storyline and some brutally tough missions are all that you’re looking for, then you have them here. San Andreas was the best of Grand Theft Auto 4 and Saints Row combined into one. What else could you ask for? I can’t even explain to you how great this game was without writing a few pages so, you’ll just have to play it for yourself. Rockstar, this is a much needed remake or at least bring out a sequel. I would definitely like to see this in Hi-Definition, with better online capabilities.

Seeing these titles resurrected, would not just mean the world to me ,but to other gamers as well. If you agree or disagree with the titles chosen below, please let us know in the comments.
